This is mostly blog-drill for me, but we did go to Disneyland in the spring. Not the park experience of my youth, the magic kingdom is now a full-blown, but urban resort - still, not a decent place to eat in the entire place.
Jack tries on "mickey hands."
Michael's personal highlight was a surprise visit by Mary Poppins, from whom he has learned dance. His nervous, pleased, aw-shucks posture is a delight to us, as well as Jack's more burly posture.

I went to Disneyland a couple weeks ago with my brother and had a different food experience than you did. We ate at the Blue Bayou Restaurant overlooking the Pirates of the Caribbean ride and ate some very good Cajun food. We also had a substantial snack at the Bengal BBQ.
Even though I had not been there since 1980, I was still impressed with the place. Although much of Disney leaves a lot to be desired, their attention to detail in the parks raises their quality far above the norm. Seeing that as a kid made a big difference in my life, particularly as I strive to do quality work.
