Science Fair 2010

Trinity - a homeschool coop we still belong to - had its annual Science Fair.
Recreating Leonardo's parachute design was this year's project.Although we could've used a higher launchpoint, than the Thousand Oaks Library slide.Down...
Down...
a 3 second ride.
Then the write-up. At this age, parents are very involved.
After a mercifully streamlined ceremony - Michael's was awarded "Best use of History" - the scientists stood by their boards
Jack seemed to own the project after awhile, returning there from time to time as his homebase. He eventually began donning the parachutes.
The properties of dry ice was a hit, as were many of the more organic ones: lemons producing electricity, organic vs inorganic fertilizer, etc. The presentation boards were less homespun this year - creating a more designed look in the room.
